"Jormund is a confused fellow. He’s a Dwarf, but against all odds he’s a magickal Dwarf. Since Dwarves are usually Tech users, he’s in a difficult position. He doesn’t talk much, since he’s a Dwarf, but he has some rather dramatic Fire spells that come in handy in battles."
-PRIMA’S OFFICIAL STRATEGY GUIDE

Location[]

Jormund can be found in his pod home at the west end of Qintarra.

Circumstances and Quests[]

  • When the player first meets him, Jormund will admit a lack of knowledge about the Dwarves of the BMC, but he freely discusses his displeasure over his training agreement with his mentor, Wrath
  • If the player later finds Wrath's body, then Jormund will ask for the player's help to clear his name of the death of his former mentor

Recruitment[]

  • Jormund will join as a Regular Follower provided:
    • The Player does not have Dumb Dialogue speech
    • He offers the player his quest
    • The player clears Jormund's name
    • The party has an open follower slot
    • The player is at least level 19
    • The player does not have an Evil alignment more than -75

Special Follower Considerations[]

  • If Jormund is asked to WAIT and then rejoin, then he becomes a free follower
  • Jormund carries the powerful Staff of Xoranth
  • Combined with his lack of Melee skill (see below), it may be best to give him a less dangerous weapon
  • However as a Dwarf, he also has the double fatigue penalty for spell casting

Interactions[]

Jormund has no dialogue options

Background[]

Jormund's distain for Technology and love of Magick led him to Qintarra to seek training. Unfortunately for him, no Elf was interested in the task except for Wrath, and then only at the cost of lifetime servitude.
