"Indeed, my mood hangs heavily today. I've not seen my love for many months. I've told very few of my predicament, but you seem very trustworthy. You see, I'm in love with Aria, princess of Cumbria. Against my father's wishes, I sent a ship, the Elizabeth Dane, to retrieve Aria three months ago. It took the southern route, around Razors Pointe. I've heard no word since.”

Background[]

Prince Auguste Farad was in a Romeo and Juliet romance with Princess Aria of Cumbria. Both fathers disapproved, but the star-struck lovers were determined to stay together. Tragedy struck when the ship sent by Farad to carry Aria from Dernholm to Caladon was wrecked in a storm on the way back, with all hands lost. The player has much leeway on how the politics of this play out.
