"The traditional way to meet Sebastian is to talk to Mr. Willoughsby in Tarant, who sends you over to Caleb Malloy’s bar to see if you can help Sebastian with a problem. If you help him with his problem, he’ll be more inclined to help you with yours. He’s a handy guy, in a general, all-purpose kind of way. He’s not the kind of fellow you’d catch bringing a knife to a gunfight.”


Sebastian might be found inside of Caleb Malloy's Pub in The Boil of Tarant.

Circumstances and Quests[]

  • Sebastian is an agent of Edward Willoughsby.
  • A meeting with Sebastian can be arranged if the player chats up Willoughsby after returning to Tarant from Qintarra.
  • If the Player has at least Charisma 8, then they can persuade the Chairman to share his plans for The Boil, when he will also mention Sebastian and his location.
  • This is the only way that Sebastian will spawn in the game.
  • The player can then find Sebastian, talk with him, and accept a quest from him.


  • Sebastian will join as a Regular Follower provided:
    • The Player does not have Dumb Dialogue speech
    • The player has completed his quest
    • The player confides in Sebastian their story
    • The party has an open follower slot
    • The player is at least level 29

Special Follower Considerations[]

  • Sebastian has many tech items
  • The player may wish to temporarily recruit him just for the loot
  • If the player keeps Sebastian long term, then they may find that there is other gear better suited for him
  • If Sebastian becomes upset then he can be placated with a bottle of Wine

Sebastian is a gunslinger but also has a few other combat tricks up his sleeve. He has degrees in the technological disciplines of Explosives and Electric.

Not much is known about Sebastian's past. He does have a broad range of knowledge. The biggest tell though is perhaps the full trust and confidence that Chairman Willoughsby has in him. Whether this is in spite of or because of Sebastian's moral and practical flexibility is up to the player to decide.
